- 2 sticks butter
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3 c. old fashioned oats
- 1 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- ½ c. wheat germ
- 1 ½ c. raisins (or craisins)
Preheat oven to 350*. Grease baking sheets. (I don't do this because I use a silpat. Alternately, you can use parchment paper.) Cream the butter &
sugar. Add the eggs, then mix. Add the vanilla, mix again. Combine
the oats, flour, soda, baking powder, and wheat germ in another bowl.
Add the dry mix to the butter mix. After well blended, stir in the
raisins. Form the dough into soft balls and place on cookie sheets.
Bake for 12-15 min. Cool 5 min. before removing cookies from pan.
Many thanks to Martha Stewart for the original recipe!
